Welcome to the Minleon LSPro Virtual Class Room. Classes on Layers, Macros and Transitions As seen in version 2.5. Some changes in Version 2.8 provide additional features not shown in the links below
Layer Subject Description
Layers Overview Sequence layers are a progressive feature of LightShow Pro. In their most simple form, they can be thought of as a way to group the channels in your sequence, giving you the flexibility to work with channels like never before. channels can be linked to multiple layers as needed, and simply by selecting the layer you can filter and work with the linked channels discretely.
Creating New Layers In order to use layer transitions, you will need to create a layer to link to channels and host the transition.
Linking Channels to Layers In order to use layers, you will first need to associate or "Link" sequence channels to the new Layer. by linking channels to a layer it allows the layer to know what channels to process its transitions on and generate effects for.
Transitions Layer Transistions Aside from grouping channels, the real power of layers are the ability to automatically sequence massive light displays using simple layer transitions. Layer transitions are created on layers as effects and are performed over a selected duration of time.
Transition Configuration Transitions are very flexible in how they can be leveraged to automate the sequencing process. This topic covers the definitions, terminology and usage of the individual transitions configuration options to provide a good understanding of capability and possibilities you can drive using transitions.
Creating custom Videos for Layer Transitions Demonstrates how to create custom videos to generate your own transition
Macros Layer Macros Layer macros are dynamic and complex tools that allow you to create amazing effects across your display in minutes..Layer Macros are created on layers as effects and are performed over a selected duration of time.
Mix Modes Defined Layer macro effect mix modes can provide powerful capabilities to how effects are applied to each other.
Filter Modes Defined Layer macro effect filter modes provide a way to augment the effect output before it is applied to each other.
Macro Configuration Macros are very flexible in how they can automate the sequencing process, this topic covers the definitions, terminology and usage of configuration options to provide an overview of the macro capability to get you started.
How Macro Effects Work Macro effects are responsible for generating dynamic animation frames that are then applied to pre-defined or dynamic, layer matrix definitions. Understanding how effects are linked to generate effects is useful to know to be able to control the results. This explains the dynamic of how linked macro effects and non-linked macro effects generate their frames in relation to the macro effect configuration.
Macro Effects Plasma Effect The Plasma macro effect provides an evolving gradient blended pattern to add style to your displays.
Block Dropper Effect The Block Dropper macro effect created a falling block effect that fills in the screen.
Animation Effect The animation macro effect will allow you to leverage existing or custom created matrix animations and scale them as part of a macro effect.
Roto Zoom Effect The Roto Zoom macro effect transforms an image by distorting in through rotating and zooming it create rhythmic effects that add unique and retro style to any macro effect chain.
Color Slider Effect The Color Slider macro effect allows you to create custom blends, then animate them across your display area in seconds.
Image Shifter Effect The Image Shifter macro effect takes a user defined image and scrolls it in a particular direction creating a moving image behavior.
Sparkle Effect The Sparkle macro effect creates a random particle sparkle effect using various color palettes, intensity and pixel sizes.
Marquee Effect The Marquee macro effect scrolls a custom user messages across the effect area using system fonts and direction settings.
