Software Builds of 12-17-13

In order to get the demo version of the software you need to download the Scheduler and the Sequencer builds listed below. Please choose either 32 or 64 bit according to your environment.

The management of LightShowPro, in coordination with the QCC, the Beta-testing Team and the LightShowPro development team, are pleased to offer this new updated release to the
V2.8 Schedulere. With the many improvements to the software we advise making sure you have all of your files backed up to include the install files for your previous used release. You should also insure you have a backup of your MyLightShow Settings folder. This will insure you can return to your current state in the event of any undiscovered issues with this release. This build contains updated links for the Scheduler. Existing links for the Sequencer are also included. If you have never entered a 2.8 key you will need to do so or you will run in demo mode. If you donít have a 2.8 key please reference the release documents as to how to obtain one.

Scheduler Changes

Although re-optimization of sequence files is not required, we highly recommend it to be able to take advantage of the new buffering scheme.

∑ Minimized the initial buffering time to play a sequence. Output data is now stored in blocks to limit contention with the disk. Playback begins once the first block as been read into memory. Typically, the delay is now < 500 ms.
∑ Memory consumption significantly reduced for large sequences.
∑ Added error handling for optimization file read errors.
∑ Corrected an issue that could cause a crash when exiting the scheduler
∑ Dispose of the serial port when playback has finished using it
